After the signature collection, the work continues… The campaign is challenging, but we have our resources: creativity, collective intelligence and collaboration are in full swing. Génération RBI, Romandie, is an active group favoring Basic Income, and will soon launch a dedicated website in a campaign to be remembered. You are invited to meet them on the afternoon of BIEN-CH General Assembly and join in on the fun!

General Assembly of BIEN-Switzerland

The ordinary general assembly of BIEN-CH will take place: Saturday, June 7th 2014, 10am at CSP Fraternity room, Beau-Séjour 28 Place Arlaud 2, 1003 Lausanne.

It will be followed the afternoon with a presentation and an animation proposed by Génération RBI, the Swiss-French action group, members of BIEN-CH, working to promote the federal initiative for a basic income » (more info soon available).

A Canadian buffet is proposed between the two so feel free to bring a sandwich, a dish or even a beverage to share.

The Basic Income European network sets its ground in Brussels

Unconditional Basic Income Europe (UBIE), conceived during the European citizen initiative of 2013, on April 10th formalized its very existence in a big conference in Brussels held within the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), itself a consultative body of the European Union’s institutions.

Thanks to a diversified program and quality, notable speakers, the conference’s organizer has overcome the challenge of almost completely filling the room of 180 seats, provided by the EESC.

First Summer University for Basic income

With the support of the local authorities of Coulounieix-Chamiers, the French movement for a basic income has organized the first summer university on the basic income. It will take place on on August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd in the Perigord region, in Coulouniex-Chamiers (close to Perigueux), France.

French and European personalities will be on hand to present their research and debate on basic income. Specialists on various topics connected to basic income will participate on those days, as well as some local citizen associations from the region.

A commitment from everyone will be key for a YES for Swiss citizens to achieve Basic Income.
